Today, the world faces many crises that manifest in different shapes and forms, one of them is pollution. This project focuses specifically in air pollution inside Mexico City. After researching, the data found showed a very challenging reallity, in which human health is already being endangered and/or damaged. In order to solve this, almost every discipline should participate or collaborate between each other to achieve a solution that could help to decrease todays crisis. Architecture in this case, tries to achieve a solution through design that could help in the decreasement of the impacts on public health. By using modules and identifiyng old fashioned or non responsive facades, a “bring back nature to the city” strategy is proposed.
“A green coating that wraps every building in Mexico City has arrived. In this images materials and shape have become superfluous, they are no longer relevant. Instead, the green color becomes predominant and appropriates the city esthetic. Mexico City has become now a pioneer in a new scheme of city, one that has achieved the coexistence of natural and urban environment. This is the green invasion.”
